I am thrilled to share my art with you!

In my galleries you will find a wide variety of subjects inspired by the beauty in natural detail and people’s relationships with their ‘habitat’.

I began pursuing painting full-time (other commitments permitting) in 2015.  I began in acrylics, taking inspiration from recycling discarded canvases and mixed media, where I incorporated existing textures or hues to grow a new piece. When working with acrylics, rather than the medium having to conform to my plan for a piece, I am often led and redirected by the medium.

In 2017 I discovered a love of pastels and have progressed to working in pastel almost solely. I enjoy the immediacy of the medium and rich pigment. Pastels are a fragile medium however and so I have begun undertaking my own framing also.

 

I live and have my artist's studio in Toowoomba, Queensland, where I primarily paint in acrylics but also pastel.
